As a certified pet professional/dog trainer & animal lover, my most important role is to provide you and your pet with effective, professional & positive training. By teaching your dog how to have manners and live within the rules and structure of your family life it not only makes your life easier, but leaves you with a companion who is relaxed, happy and well-trained.
Growing up on Long Island, animals have always been a huge part of my life. When I moved out on my own, I adopted my first rescue dog Amber, a Shepard/lab mix who stole my heart. While she has long crossed over the rainbow bridge, her unconditional love, kindness and patience would lead me to my dream career as a dog trainer and to filling my home with even more puppy love. Currently, we have JoJo (a boxer/lab mix) and Toby (a beagle), both rescues from the animal rescues that I have worked & volunteered for 12+ years. Working with shelter & rescue dogs has taught me how to understand their body language and learn how to effectively get positive results with a variety of behavioral issues.
My work with the rescue was fulfilling and important to me and led me to make a change from my full-time career in the travel industry and take what I had learned and follow my true passion. I started a successful dog walking and pet care service, servicing Nassau & Suffolk County. My clients were always amazed at how much better their dogs walked on a leash and their behavior was improved. After many inquiries of “would you help train our dog”, I decided to take it to the next level. I am a CATCH Canine Trainers Academy graduate with distinction (CCDT), Pet First Aid & CPR Certified and a CGC certified evaluator.
I love working with and connecting with animals and their people to create everlasting relationships. I have worked with a wide variety of breeds, sizes and ages of dogs. My philosophy is to listen to your story and watch your dog’s behavior so that we can work together to find solutions for a happy life through positive reinforcement training. I work privately in-home or teach group dog training classes. Whether you have a puppy who is ready to learn or an older dog with some bad habits, we will work together as a team to learn lessons that will last a lifetime to ensure that you and your dog can live together happily and communicate effectively.
